Sudipto Mukerjee is an international development professional with over two decades experience in institutional development, change management; crisis response and post crisis recovery programming and people management. He assumed charge as Country Director UNDP Bangladesh in October 2016. Previously he was Country Director in UNDP Sierra Leone where among
other responsibilities he also led the Ebola Crisis Response. Sudipto started his career with the UNDP in Iraq in September 2009, having moved from UN-Habitat where he was Head of Iraq Mission. Before joining the United Nations, Sudipto worked as Infrastructure and Urban Advisor with the UK Department for International Development (1998-2005) and prior to that in various capacities with the Government of India. Sudipto Mukerjee holds degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning.
